As the nights draw in, there is something quite calming about walking around an empty airfield. With the last of the aircraft returning home against the setting sun, and the many buildings silhouetted in the golden light.
The maintenance hangars, usually full of activity, eerily quiet with stripped down aircraft awaiting another day of restoration.
